Getting some wires ready for the gift shop. These are from Bob Hasting's collection. We hope he would be pleased with the good they will do for the museum.
We were donated a nice selection of wire related books from Bob Hastings' collection. The ones we don't need in the library will be for sale. Big thanks to Lewis for bringing them down.
What are you collectors thoughts on pricing wires for sale in the museum gift shop? I have seen wires being sold at the show for one half the listed price. Keep in mind, most of our customers are tourists. Thanks for your help. Mike Oldham DRM curator.

Have you ever heard of the Reynold’s Necktie, patented in 1878 by Hiram Reynolds of Marshalltown, Iowa? This unique wire features a two-piece barb on a single-line wire. The wire looks like a tied necktie, hence the nickname. However, this beauty is only valued at $2.
