Hi folks! We've been a little bit quiet recently. Unfortunately, a lot of our equipment (Jane's amp, and the much beloved EL VANRA) took some dying blows during our last run. We're posting this to say for the first time EVER, Jane will be doing a COMPLETE 50% off sale for her business, Devil's Ink Art Studio, at the only event she's vended at so far this year.
As far as the sale, it will be EVERYTHING (Art, Shirts. Stickers, Sculptures, etc...). We will also be set up with merch from our band in the booth too. We've been a little bit down recently, as being on the road is what makes us happy. This deal is really crazy, but we've got a shot at a great deal on a van, and need to throw everything we can at it! Normally I'd post something like this for my art business, but this was too cool not to share here!
This is a completely custom Godzilla design, drawn up and painted by hand for @bigroglynch , using high quality acrylic fabric paint on a denim jacket (which he's using with patches as a 'battle jacket').
I liked to mix realistic with comic book styles on this piece, making it look simultaneously 3D while also acknowledging its roots in comic books and general two dimensional media with the shading, and highlights especially. It has cured and been properly heat set (I had to learn how to iron๐ฐ) and these photos are actually coming after having been actively used for a month of wear!
This was a really tedious project, but the end result is fantastic and it's definitely something I could see myself doing more of. It's finished with a nice bold sparkly red 'Big Dog' in kanji.
