Chain of Silence
I made my first sculpture last term using recycled noise-reduction earmuffs.
Having the ear cups enclose each other creates a sense of isolation, forming spaces of contained silence. It explores enforced silence, social preservation, closed communities and conformity, while reflecting on how governments can silence individuals by trapping them in continuous cycles of control and restriction.

Spent all week secretly hoping he’d sing my favourite, “the other side”, he hasn’t in at least 6 years so to say chances were low would be an overstatement. Genuinely one of the best nights of my life.
