On Saturday of Pride Weekend, we brought the fire to the Wellesley Stage with BQC Presents: All Inna di Pot β Watch Us Cook β a celebration of Black queer and trans youth turning up the heat and taking up space. With DJs, rappers, R&B vocalists, and drag kings, this soul-stirring showcase was Torontoβs only Pride stage dedicated to up-and-coming Black 2SLGBTQI+ talent. And trust, the flavour was rich. πΆοΈπ₯
Curated by BQC and Blackness Yes!, the party didnβt stop when the sun went down β Blocko After Dark lit up the night with sexy, scintillating, and slightly scandalous vibes. From ballroom excellence to fierce DJs and unapologetic artistry, it was a spotlight on the vibrancy and resilience of our African, Black, and Caribbean 2SLGBTQI+ community. ππΎππ€
Blockorama is Pride Torontoβs longest-running stage β and this year, we went all in to keep the legacy alive.

so I was about 10 mins late for this show which means I missed my chance to shoot from the photo pit (media is only allowed in the pit for the first 3 songs). Iβm so glad I was able to stay in the venue and shoot from the crowd! ππΎsometimes, media has to leave after those first 3 songs. But if they allow you to stay, take advantage of the opportunity to get crowd shots for the rest of the show!! And donβt be afraid to *politely* move closer to the stage. I usually try to go the side near a wall so I wonβt obstruct anyoneβs viewβ¦If you are able to get in the middle of the crowd, just be very mindful and respectful of the fans who are trying to enjoy the showπ«ΆπΎ
