Devlin Claro, 𝘊𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 opens April 30 with a reception from 6-8PM.
A new body of work, including an installation and large-format photographs. Born in Queens in 1995, Claro has described New York’s outer boroughs as a “middle world,” neither fully central nor peripheral, at once familiar and indeterminate. The images feel suspended in an ambiguous timeframe, where clothing, architecture, and lighting resist clear historical markers.
Claro is also included in 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘠𝘰𝘳𝘬 at MoMA PS1, opening April 16.
