“Endland” returns to
@schauburg_muenchen today. Soon the production will mark its first anniversary at the theater. Its relevance and courage helped me reflect on my path of immigration from Russia, provided a sense of support, and gave me the opportunity to express my perspective through an open dialogue between the team and the audience.
For this project, I focused on creating distinct musical identities for each of the four main characters, bridging the gap between traditional composition and organic sound manipulation. The core of the soundtrack was built using the
@expressive_e Osmose. Its MPE capabilities allowed me to treat electronic textures as living, breathing instruments, translating physical gestures into subtle pitch bends and timbral shifts. This gave each character’s theme a tactile, “unstable” quality that reflects the play’s atmosphere, while leaving space for the actors, lighting, and stage design to unfold. Additionally, for the first time, I created a vocal identity for a dystopian voice assistant using
@elevenlabsio AI technology.
My deepest gratitude goes to the Schauburg and the entire creative team for their trust and collaboration. Creating art is always a collective effort, and it was an honor to contribute to this vision.
I want to express my unwavering support for director Zhenya Berkovich and playwright Svetlana Petriychuk (Finist the Bright Falcon), who remain unjustly imprisoned for 2 years and 9 months. Art should be a space for dialogue and reflection, not a ground for persecution. My thoughts are with them and their families.
