These photos are from year 01 @nh7dotin in 2010.
Taken on my phone. Badly. Blurry, distorted, terrible photos, but some of my favourite memories.
Back then, when we first heard a festival called NH7 Weekender was happening, a bunch of us just showed up and asked, how can we help?
I somehow ended up stage managing The Wolves Den (uncanny cc @bigbadwolfdotin ), watching artists like @asian_dub_foundation@indianoceanmusic@pentagramindia and my own #jalebeecartel among many others tear it up on stage (See last slide for first phase lineup)
It was just a small bunch of people trying to punch way above their weight, and build something special together and I’m glad I got a chance to play a really small part.
Sixteen years later, I’m back, this time helping programme and rebuild the festival.
And what’s been incredible to see is that the same thing is happening again.
Artists, managers, friends, old faces and new ones, everyone pitching in to bring it back to life.
Some things change. But some things stay exactly the same.
Few days to go.
If you were there in the early years, you know what this feels like.
And if you’ve never been… this might be the year to find out.
See you in Pune.
Artists and industry voices break down what sustainability really means, from visibility and live performance to creative freedom and long term growth, featuring insights from Karan Kanchan, Rahul Ram, Osho Jain, Dev Bhatia, Agam Walia and Shoven Shah.
