An ending before the beginning..
As this year ends and a quarter of the century closes-
not everything made sense, not everything went right,
but somehow, we’re still here. And that’s enough to trust the rest.
[ year end reflection, quiet confidence, personal growth, trusting the process, life reset, new beginnings ]
Some days are meant to be felt, not explained.

Who’s your Kate Bush?
Vecna’s world wasn’t escape; it was control.
Music became the only thing that cut through it.
In real life, we don’t fight monsters, but we still look for something that brings us back.

I learned how to gather people
before I learned how to keep myself.
I knew the weight of empty chairs,
the sound of silence left unattended.
So I filled the room with laughter,
stitched moments together,
made sure no one stood alone
near the edges of the night.
Somewhere in the giving, I disappeared—
not lost, just unclaimed.
A quiet presence,
holding the door while life walked through.
Now I understand:
I was never meant to stay in every room.
I was the bridge, not the crowd,
the warmth, not the fire.
And when I finally stepped back,
I found myself waiting
patient, whole,
ready to be chosen too.

Hi, so I’m going to tell you how I jumped out of my hostel at night to celebrate my friend’s birthday without the birthday boy, somehow ended up doing Spiti + Ladakh, almost dying in a landslide, and realising that the four of us should not be trusted with cars.
So for context — for the past few weeks, every single birthday went like this:
try club → club says no → we sit in the car → end up at Murthal → eat paratha → go home. This time also we thought same hi hoga but one of us said, “Kapde rakh lete hain.” At 10 PM I got a call saying, “Bahar aaja.”So I packed a few clothes and climbed out of my hostel. Outside there were three guys on a scooty. The birthday boy? Not with us.
So yes, we were on our way to celebrate someone’s birthday without him, which already tells you how this story is going to go. Somehow around 1 AM we found a rental car. The plan was Chandigarh. I need to say this again because nobody believes me the plan was Chandigarh. We did not reach Chandigarh. At some point, we were in Shimla. Don’t ask me how. We walked into the Oberoi just to use the washroom, started fighting inside, messed it up, suddenly realised where we were, and ran. Still laughing, but also that nervous laugh where you’re like okay okay let’s go.
Instead of going home like sensible humans, we kept going. Reached Kalpa at night and checked into a hotel, next morning when we woke up, we saw the best mountain view from our window. Then someone casually said, “Aur upar chale?” No debate. We just picked up our keys and bags and went up. We crossed Kaza. And then came the part where we should’ve turned around but obviously didn’t.
Just before Losar, there had been a landslide. The road looked fine-ish until it wasn’t. The car got stuck in quicksand and instead of panicking, we..
