A work in progress: I created this duet as an exploration of the kind of love that feels impossible to leave…even when it hurts. This piece lives inside the cycles so many of us know too well: the betrayal, the apologies, the promises that fall apart, and the hope that somehow things will change. It’s about loving someone who lies and cheats, yet still finding yourself offering endless forgiveness, endless devotion, endless pieces of YOURSELF.
A poem that sparked ideas:
“i would let you ruin me and that’s the only way i know how to say i love you”

Through this process I wanted to give shape to the tension between holding on and breaking free. Every lift, every push, every collapse mirrors the emotional weight of returning to someone who keeps shattering your trust, and the quiet courage it takes to finally step away. This work is rooted from my own perspective on relationships like these. The ones that blur the line between love and harm, comfort and chaos.
This duet is for everyone who has loved deeply, held on tightly, and is finally learning to let go. May it remind you of your worth, and honor the strength it takes to choose yourself.🖤
