Techno Vision lands its second chapter this Thursday at TV Lounge, curated by DJ Krazy for the Community Series—and this one leans all the way into what Detroit techno has always been about: people, place, and exchange.
Leading the charge are Detscientists—Gary Martin (Gigi Galaxy / Teknotika) and Jeferson Ciarvi (Human Robot)—in their special back-to-back project packed with FX, drums, percussion, live mic moments, and plenty of left turns. True to their name, Detscientists operate with intention: 90% Detroit artists and labels in their sets, deep ties to Motech Records, and a sound that honors the city’s legacy of futurism, science fiction, and forward-thinking rhythm. This is Detroit techno played by people who live it, study it, and push it forward.
From Germany, Redmadvelvet (Rolf Schwieder) brings an international perspective rooted in genuine love for Detroit—someone who’s spent years building bridges between the city’s artists and the global underground. His presence is a reminder that Detroit techno doesn’t stop at city limits—it travels, evolves, and comes back stronger.
Rounding out the night is XAM76, back behind the decks with his signature deep bass and acid-laced drive. Originally from South America and now part of Boston’s Infra Collective, XAM76 lives far from the mainstream, delivering sets that feel raw, physical, and just a little unpredictable—the perfect ignition point for the night.
Thursday nights at TV Lounge have always been about the community showing up for the music that raised us—and lately, that energy has been building in the best way. With each series putting their own stamp on the night, Community Thursdays are quietly becoming a real meeting ground again, and if techno is your language, this is one worth tapping into. Gary Martin is a legend of Detroit a.k.a. Gigi Galaxy from Teknotika Records since 1993. Jeferson Ciarvi a.k.a. the Human Robot, is the owner of the Future Visions label from Brazil and is currently living in Detroit. The two of them have formed a B2B DJ duo with with FX , Drums, percussion and many others unexpected elements. Detscientists shows are always a great sound experience, they bring dj skills, history, information and inspiration to the party and any event they play at.
