Hailing from the pits of New York’s EDM scene, Chris Taylor (Destryur) mixes dance music with cinematic horror to create a sound that will keep you up at night. Coming up through Sam Valentine’s NightWav dance parties, Destryur has set himself apart from his Darksynth peers. Infinitely more danceable but just as menacing.
His debut album ‘Panic’ slashed its way into the world in 2019, peaking at number one on Bandcamp’s Electronic Albums and #19 on the iTunes Russia charts. In 2020, Destryur teamed up with STRNGR to release ‘Night at the Grindhouse’ on NRW Records, which solidified his foothold in the Darksynth scene. In 2024, Destryur released ‘Frightmare’ with EDM horror king Figure on NRW Records, which peaked at #169 on the iTunes Top 200 Electronic Album chart. Destryur has also played alongside some of the best electronic artists, including Perturbator, GosT, Magic Sword, Combichrist, and Brothel.
