WELCOME TO DESTROYER - My name is Damian Higgins. I have built a career touring the world DJ’ing Drum and Bass music under the name @dieselboy . Over this period of time I have been involved in countless creative projects including producing music for video games (Playstation, Electronic Arts), creating audio for corporate clients (MTV, ESPN), running two record labels (Human Imprint, Subhuman) as well as conceptualizing projects and designing graphics for a huge spectrum of clients ranging from streetwear brands and beverage companies to restaurants and music festivals. I decided to start “Destroyer Design” to put my creative thinking and skills to work for you. Let’s make something cool.

EMPELLON AL PASTOR UPDATE @empellonalpastor is an incredible dive bar in the East Village that has amazing drinks and incredible food that is owned and operated by my homie @alexstupak . He brought me on way back during the Covid era to rebrand the place and give it more of an authentic and gritty energy. The bar is located on St Marks Place in Manhattan which is the birth place of punk rock in NYC. I originally drew from that scene’s aesthetic and created menus and signage and t-shirts that felt like graphics on kinko’s fliers stapled to telephone poles. Alex loves metal so there was also lot of that influence put in as well. To this date it is one of my favorite design projects that I have been a part of. Fast forward to 2026 and I recently did a quick remix of the menu as well as added some new designs for A-frame posters outside the bar and a new t-shirt as well. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood you should check it out. You can’t find food this good at any other dive bar in the city.

BONNIES x WESTHOLME - I was approached by my friends at @bonniesbrooklyn to conceptualize a menu / advertisement for their upcoming wagyu dinner collaboration with @westholme . The vibe was “steakhouse aesthetic” so I decided to steer things into vintage territory a la 60s / 70s where the energy was a lot more exciting than what we have currently. The end result is what you see here - fun, playful and a little irreverent. I also knocked out a quick limited edition tee for the event as well 🙏🏻

BIG DRUM AND BASS PARTY 12.15.23 - A poster design for an upcoming show I am throwing at @thesultanroom . Bold typography and a sick terminator style painting give this one extra heavy energy. Conceptualized the “Big Drum And Bass Party” at the bottom to use for all future events. Brought on the incredible @mindkillerink to render out the metal-esque PARTY type. Love the feeling with this one 🥵

ACES x WIN SON - A super last minute project for my team at @acespizzaspot . Kept it real simple with a focus on the crushed paper and typographic distress. Wanted something punchy with a bit of a visual edge. Turned it around in about an hour 🙏🏻

ENSENADA x POINT EASY - My friend @luisguayaba from the celebrated @ensenadanyc here in Williamsburg is heading west to Denver for a pop-up at the tasty @point_easy_denver . A lot of the food and aesthetic of Ensenada is seafood focused so I riffed on their vibe and tried to put a little bit of a twist on it. I created some surreal Picasso-esque illustrated fish to play off of the realistic paper and watercolor textures and off-kilter blown out type treatment. This here is the final result.

STILL TRIPPIN - Presenting my latest set for the indomitable STILL TIPPIN clothing line. This was the mashup you didn’t know you wanted. The unholy union of Houston SLAB culture and the iconic Grateful Dead skull. This idea had been knocking around in my brain for awhile and when I finally put it together it just…fit 🫠. ACES PIZZA ONLINE STORE - A project that has been months in the making. I have been in charge of making the merch for the amazing @acespizzaspot for the last few years. Unlike standard restaurant merch which is usually limited to a shirt or two and a hat, we decided to pursue a much more robust collection of stuff to keep things varied and interesting. The only problem was that the merch was only available for purchase in the restaurants in very limited quantity. Partnering up with my homie @studioblan.co (former design director at streetwear brand @mishkagram ) we decided to run things more in the vibe of a clothing brand - lots of design options and regular drops / releases. Today we are proud to launch the online store making the Ace’s merch available worldwide. This is such a fun and fulfilling project because I get to explore the wide wide world of vintage 70s - 90s tees. Find us online now at ACESPIZZASPOT.COM

MIDNIGHT TYRANNOSAURUS - Recently I was approached by dubstep artist @midnight_tyrannosaurus and his team to come up with a metal-centric and illustration heavy t-shirt design for his current “GAUNTLET” tour. MT has a new album out of the same name and he had come up with a ton of backstory and “lore” to describe the concept. Most of it revolves around the main character fighting a bunch of opponents in this massive colosseum. Taking that as a starting point I thought it would be cool to have the colosseum represented as a “crown” on the skull of the final boss in the story. Then I wanted all of the various enemies and opponents to appear in the framework on the back. Once again working with the amazing illustrator @merzgrind_ we managed to put together this cohesive set of images here with very impactful typography. Very satisfied with the final product. 💫 Available now on tour

AREA 15 - @area15official is an incredible multi-sensory experiential entertainment and retail complex located in Las Vegas, Nevada. It houses several major experimental and immersive entertainment residencies and includes sculptures, art displays, bars, music venues and restaurants. It is insane. In 2022 I was tasked with overhauling their merch offerings to bring them more in line with their experimental art ethos. I took things in a few different directions in order to give it a bit of range. I came up with the phrase “The Dream Approaches Reality” and utilized that tagline for many of these designs. This was a fun project to work on and it allowed me to really flex a lot of creative muscles. I believe most of these pieces are available now at their location. Created 10.20.22
