Destiny Nkem [des•tuh•nee n•kehm]
noun
Origin: English (Destiny — “fate, purpose”) + Igbo (Nkem — “mine; my own”)
My parents have always believed that a child’s name should carry purpose. That’s why they named me Destiny Nkem Agulefo, a constant reminder that I am both chosen and destined. From day one, I’ve been told I am destined for greatness, and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
On May 9, 2025, I proudly become the first lawyer in my family. I am eternally grateful to my parents for speaking purpose over my life and for their endless love and support.
Here’s to becoming everything I was destined to be! 🥂
Signed,
Destiny Nkem Agulefo, J.D.
