On March 28, 2026, the National Dogsledding Race brought together incredible strength, tradition, and determination under the Arctic sky. The competition was fierce, and the spirit even stronger.
🥇 1st place: Angutimmarik Thygesen (Saattut)
🥈 2nd place: Anton Street (Saattut)
🥉 3rd place: Markus Jensen (Saqqaq)
From the powerful teams of dogs to the skill of each musher, this race was a true celebration of Greenlandic heritage and endurance.

Our days in Qasigiannguit are gently coming to a close. Together with Nalik Ventures, we’ve shared ideas, held workshops, and connected with passionate local voices — all while discovering hidden gems and the quiet magic of this Arctic town.
Snow-covered landscapes, colorful houses, and stories waiting to be told… ❄️
And now, the grand finale: a national dog sled race 🐕🛷 bringing together mushers, visitors from nearby towns and settlements, and even international journalists.
All of this in a town of just 1,000 people.

We have just participated in The Nordic Marketplace, where we held around 15 intense and inspiring meetings with strong interest in our region. We presented the many opportunities our region offers, highlighted our skilled local partners, and shared how easy it is to navigate the area in terms of accommodation and transportation.
