Fashion is Art…🎨⬇️ and it always will be. It’s amazing how someone can tell a whole story through visuals without having to say a word. I loved seeing all the Met Gala looks for this year as this theme really hit close to home. I fell in love with fashion because it became a way for me to express all the things that I couldn’t yet say. It allowed me to experiment and to discover more about who I am. I’m forever grateful for it. In my head, I fantasized about what it would be like to attend an event like the Met Gala in the future. It’s funny, I wouldn’t necessarily care about going to be seen as me, but more so to be able to express a story through the clothes I wear and for the love of visual storytelling as a whole. Who knows maybe one day I’ll attend an event like this, never say never 🤷🏿‍♀️🤣. The 3 looks 🎨: 1- I wore this as a concept to embody art for a Halloween costume 4 years ago and honestly I loved this outfit hehe. 2- I wore this to a ball and the theme was monochromatic look and I think the only ready items I had that were enough for a look was white so there we go 🤣. 3- I also wore this to a ball and I decided to represent flags on the aro/ace spectrum cuz I’m 100% sure I’m somewhere in that spectrum and I thought it was a good way to represent flags that I often think are overlooked. Story time ⬇️ Last weekend, I went into the city and was planning to have a full social day. Sadly, my plans and energy quickly changed after hitting up the first event and after a while I realized that all I wanted to do was go be in nature. So I decided to drive to a local trail and take a walk in my eccentric outfit haha. I thought to myself that maybe I should go home and change first, but I said nah. It was freeing to exist as I am and also the outfit I wore was super cute in my opinion so I didn’t want to take it off just yet lol. Personal style shining through 🤣 I've realized over time that it doesn't matter what combination of colors I wear, I always find a way to honor my personal style and shape shift into the aesthetic I need to fit. If a job requires me to wear black then I'll do it, but with my own personal spin on it. I think that's the whole point though, being able to feel like yourself even through different expressions of self through the clothing you wear. Moral of the story, dress in a way that makes you feel happy and most like yourself whether that be through specific accessories, types of clothing, colors, etc. Our body's our are vessels and we should adorn them in ways that make us feel good. What color combo do you want to try? Okay I want to try wearing different shades of brown together….I usually steer clear of them, but I’m feeling called to start experimenting again. Brown is a beautiful color and I think it’s all about picking the best shades to best compliment you and the styling. Also with this outfit, I wasn’t sure about how this shade of purple would pair with everything, but it did work! I don’t wear purple a lot, but I’m thinking maybe I should.
