TWIN HOUSE by Design Work Group Set within the dense urban fabric of Surat, Gujarat, Twin House, designed by Design Work Group (DWG), emerges as a thoughtful architectural response to the shifting patterns of contemporary Indian living. Envisioned as a shared yet independent home for two sibling families, the residence explores the nuanced balance between privacy and connection. The design articulates a layered dialogue of contrasts—individuality and togetherness, solidity and softness, monolithic form and visual lightness. Through a modernist lens grounded in material honesty, restrained minimalism, and spatial clarity, the Twin House reflects the enduring strength of familial ties while adapting seamlessly to present-day lifestyles. Designed by: Design Work Group @designworkgroup Photographs: PHX India @phxindia I Sebastian Zachariah @sabz_phxindia + Jacob Nedumchira @jacob_phxindia Curated by: Rupali Sebastian @rupalisebastian The new headquarters for Star Cement sits within Oberoi Tower on the Delhi–Gurgaon corridor, a glazed floor plate that opens to expansive views of DLF Cyber City. For Design Work Group, the brief was to craft a contemporary workplace that balances daylight-led design with a sense of calm restraint. Their approach results in what they describe as “a quiet confidence—where minimalism meets warmth,” a sentiment that sets the tone for the entire project. Spread across 6,000 sq ft, the office is designed for a compact team of sixteen, with openness and visual connection shaping the spatial strategy. A reception and two meeting rooms define the public edge before the plan draws visitors inward toward the directors’ cabins located at glazed corners for maximum light and transparency. These cabins are visually linked through a planted internal courtyard—an engineered microclimate that sustains real greenery inside a sealed high-rise shell. This biophilic anchor softens the crisp architectural lines and brings an emotional centre to the corporate interior. A restrained palette of natural veneer, glass, and lime plaster moderates the intense east–south–west daylight, lending the interior its composed, tonally consistent character. Slot diffusers and slender custom furniture maintain the purity of the minimal language, while curated art and subtle accents in red and green echo the group’s identity. The lounge, boardroom, executive dining, manager cabins, and open workstations follow an intuitive flow that supports efficiency without losing the essence of contemporary Indian workplace design. Refined yet approachable, the Star Cement office reflects a workplace attuned to light, material, and the rhythms of daily work within a modern corporate landscape. Project: Star Cement Location: Gurugram Area: 6,000 sq ft Principal architect: Dinesh Suthar Design team: Jitendra Sabalpara, Bharat Patel, Hardik Padmani, Bhavika Suthar #indiadesignworld #idw #designworkgroup #phxindia

This is lighting that becomes an experience. 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝟭𝟬𝟬 of 2024 Round up: 86/100 SV house by Design Work Group SV HOUSE, designed by Design Work Group, masterfully combines contemporary style with practical design. The residence uses brick not only as a building material but also as a key design element that enhances the overall aesthetic. The outer facade presents a minimalist, clean look, reflecting simplicity at first glance. However, the interior tells a different story, designed to stimulate the senses through its thoughtful layout, textures, and finishes. This balance between minimalism and sensory richness creates a living space that feels both modern and inviting, where functionality and artistic expression meet seamlessly. “Not your typical #brick story — this wall is all about attitude! Each brick has its own little spotlight, coming together to create a #surface that’s vibrant, dynamic, and full of character. Paired with sunlight streaming in and #greenery brushing against it, the space feels like an urban jungle with a stylish edge. Proof that #design isn’t just about structure, it’s about personality ! 👨🏻‍💼 : @designworkgroup 🧱 : @thebrickstore_india

“This #façade transforms the humble brick into a design language of its own. Instead of a flat surface, the #bricks are stacked in a rhythmic, three-dimensional weave — creating #shadows that shift with the sun and #textures that feel alive. Each layer adds depth, breathing character into the structure while balancing raw materiality with #modern elegance. More than just construction, it becomes a crafted skin — a dialogue between geometry, light, and natural elements. 👨🏻‍💼 : @designworkgroup 🧱 : @thebrickstore_india

A striking example of #modern architectural finesse, this #façade showcases a dynamic stacking pattern created with linear #exposedbricks. The meticulous arrangement of bricks not only adds depth and rhythm to the #elevation but also plays with light and shadow throughout the day, enhancing its visual appeal. Complemented by lush greenery and a stark concrete canopy, the design harmonizes #earthy textures with contemporary geometry—making it a perfect blend of warmth and minimalism. 👨🏻‍💼 : @designworkgroup 🧱 : @thebrickstore_india

@designworkgroup 📍 Design Work Group 📸 Vinay Panjwani 📐 Surat, Índia | 2025 | 3125 m² #arquitetura #garden #portaldoverde #landscape #arquiteta#archdaily#landscape #arquitetando #projetosdearquitetura#arquiteturaresidencial#
