I’m so thrilled to introduce the Jensen’s!
Their wedding day was filled with the kindest people, the biggest smiles, the coolest dance moves, and some really awesome cupcakes!
I first met Nick and Cheyenne a few years ago through two of my best friends Jack and Trey- the friend group they’re in is big and the relationships go back years! They welcomed me with open arms immediately, and I believe that’s a testament to their generous spirit, and love for human connection! Being able to photograph their wedding and meet their friends and family felt like getting to see the puzzle completed! People I met on Thursday I felt like people I had known for years by Saturday!
I cannot wait to see what Nick and Cheyenne do together as husband and wife and all of the joy they will continue to bring to their amazing community!

We loved creating this joyful ceremony for Emily & Ryan’s wedding. The garden-inspired floral pillars, full of bright yellow blooms and lush greenery, transformed this beautiful space into something that was totally all about the couple.
The bride’s favorite flower? Daisies. So of course, we had to incorporate them throughout-adding just the right touch of whimsy.

Small weddings can still be BIG on details. In fact, a smaller guest count can leave more room for a broader menu, interesting cocktails, and beautiful florals. One of THE BEST small venues in Chicago (IMHO) is The Publishing House BnB in the West Loop, it’s already a gorgeous canvas so it doesn’t need much to make it shine. So many great nooks for photos, pops of color and clever details, just add a killer caterer like Lula Cafe and you have the perfect event!
I am a HUGE fan of micro weddings. What is a micro wedding, you ask? Think small, definitely fewer than 100 guests (this one was around 30 people total), highly personalized (you’re sharing your favorite things with your favorite people), typically everything is happening in one location, one photographer and one videographer can easily capture all of the candid and scripted moments, one planner can ensure everything runs smoothly. There may be fewer people but there is plenty of energy, celebration, and TONS of F.U.N. If you’re on the fence about planning a big wedding (or throwing it all out the window and running down to City Hall), consider shrinking things a bit. I promise you’ll still have one of the best days of your lives!! 🥂👊🏻
