One of our Project Engineers, Jeremy, had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Xylem Symposium in Stockholm, Sweden last week. The symposium brought together engineers from across North America for technical sessions, workshop discussions, and insight into ongoing research and development in pump and water infrastructure technologies. The week also included a visit to the King Karl pump station, and a tour of the Xylem facility in Emmaboda, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the people, processes, and precision involved in manufacturing Flygt pumps and related equipment. We’d like to thank Xylem for providing such a great opportunity for learning, collaboration, and bringing new perspectives back to our project work.

Charlotte & Sam from our environmental team had the opportunity to attend the Marine Renewables Canada Spring Summit today in Halifax. 🌊 The summit brought together industry leaders, Indigenous partners, researchers, governments, and supply chain organizations to discuss the future of marine renewable energy in Canada, with a strong focus on offshore wind development in Atlantic Canada and the opportunities and challenges ahead. Exciting to see the momentum building around offshore wind in Atlantic Canada and the role it can play in the future of sustainable energy development.

Bella joined the crew on site last week and kept the survey equipment under close su-paw-vision…between scheduled nap breaks 🐶 Our newest field assistant may nap on the job, but morale has never been higher.

🚧 Project Spotlight: Banook Lake Finish Line Tower Location: 34 Boathouse Ln, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia The Banook Lake Finish Line Tower was delivered by rcs construction for Canoe ’22 at Lake Banook - one of Canada’s premier paddling venues. In June and July 2026, the lake will host two Canoe Sprint World Championships - for junior and senior athletes. The project focused on the renovation of the finish line tower, originally built in 1987. The updated design improves visibility for officials, supports modern timing systems, and provides better space for judging and equipment. The tower maintains its iconic form and continues to play a key role in race operations on the water. rcs construction delivers projects across commercial, institutional, and multi-residential construction in Nova Scotia.
