• WHO INSPIRES ME: I loved admiring my mom’s love for apparel and she always had the best designer shoes/handbags. She introduced me to luxury fashion.
• WHAT INSPIRED IHRIE: I was introduced to a myriad of things growing up from the perspective of key black women in my life. My mother introduced me to ballet and dance, my grandmothers introduced me to faith and community, and my sister introduced me to unconditional love and loyalty.

We wanted to make sure we continued the story telling from Teyana’s first collection, but this time honoring her roots growing up in Harlem.
We wanted the collection to feel elevated but edgy to mimic the thorns and vines that roses grow on.
The layered cut-off tee took direct inspiration from MJ’s infamous shooter shirt.
The jumpsuit is special because it’s a layered, modular piece that can be worn as a one-piece or you can unsnap the waist and wear it as a two-piece set.

My mother introduced me to ballet when I was just three years old, and it was an experience that stuck with me as I step into womanhood.
The movements, the poise, the innate focus a dancer must have to land complex movements, symbolizes my upbringing in a black American family.
A childhood full of memories, and being raised by multiple generations of black women.
