MNL—Ippudo Ramen Bar merges authentic ramen craftsmanship with a modern, high-energy dining experience. As with the Ippudo chain stores, Ramen Bar holds mastery and authority at its core.
It then made sense to look into Ippudo’s heritage; with typewritten documents standing out among ephemera from the 80s. Applied with a more contemporary typesetting, the visual identity is an expression of confidence and raw edge, altogether serving as a foil to the store design’s sleek look.

MNL—Kiwami is a Japanese restaurant with branches across Manila, Philippines. Beginning with its Bonifacio Global City flagship store, the brief was designing its transition from a “food hall” concept into an elevated casual dining restaurant. Kiwami finds its refreshed identity in Kiwami: Japanese Master Kitchens, both in space and visual identity.
With so much to offer from the Master Kitchen brands it carries, Kiwami’s visual identity sharpens its focus, now led by confident photography and refined typesetting. Everything culminates in the new menu, which also reads almost like a book, with menu items designed to read with short spiels of each kitchen.

MNL—The very first outpost of @koyohandrollbar , inside @kiwami.ph BGC, where the design reflects the craft behind the menu. The facade showcases KOYO's checkerboard pattern, accented by ripple-textured amber glass, while the pebble-wash signboard and warm pine paneling create a bright, inviting atmosphere.

Logo for Dalisay Collection, an artisan-driven furniture fabricator also based between the Philippines and Hong Kong. The wordmark—lending itself to the typesetting and visual identity at large—is intended as a functional backdrop, giving way to the architectural and expressive forms of the brand’s furniture.
MNL—@koyohandrollbar is a contemporary and creative handroll bar in @kiwami.ph Bonifacio Global City. Inspired by midcentury graphic design and advertisements, KOYO visualizes handrolls as larger-than-life furniture. The green, inspired by leaves in the fall, alongside a recurring motif in midcentury design, the checkerboard, express KOYO’s creative and contemporary attitude. Typeset in Reckless for a sharp, austere flair to complement the bold, playfulness of the logotype set in Dida.

MNL—A few months back, our Manila team moved into our brand new studio in Legazpi Village and we’re finally getting around to showing it off. We’ve split the studio into 2 parts, with our very own @cafedalisay in front facing quiet Castro St., and our team’s working space towards the back.
