THURSDAY FLATLAY | The freedom to create without any boundaries!
Designers ‘block’ can sometimes restrict our creativity but stepping back & enjoying what we do is the best way to break free.
This flat lay is a reflection of that unfiltered creativity, a reminder that design doesn’t always have to be structured - No overthinking, just the trill of putting all sorts of colours, texture & materials together for the love of it.

THE QUEENS PROJECT | A warm character filled kitchen transformation in Fitzroy North.
Designed for my client and her puppy Peggy, this kitchen transformation felt less like a generic renovation and more like an artistically focused endeavour. The client and I worked closely with the goal to create a space that was filled with colour but also pushed beyond the boundaries of a typical residential kitchen.
Through expressive form and layered colour, we wanted the space to be both calming and inviting, while still making a confident statement. With that in mind, we selected gorgeous hand-glazed Japanese tiles in the perfect tone of pink & green, which also carried through the vein in the Calacatta Verde marble benchtop. Tasmanian Oak cabinetry was selected to add a warm, pink-hue working with the overall aesthetic. The banquette fabric and stools were the biggest pops of colours, and were introduced to pay homage to the beautiful brick facade of the property.
We wanted to make each selection to feel considered and harmonious, creating a sense of quiet cohesion rather than visual noise. The draping pendant and wall sconce added to the soft forms we wanted to incorporate as well as the curved brushed nickel handles and gooseneck kitchen mixer.
The layout is centred around connection. We’d discussed throughout the design process that traditionally, kitchens can feel off-limits to guests but wanted the space to be fully inclusive - encouraging movement, gathering, and interaction, with no defined boundaries between user and visitor. The banquette was also designed to soften the transition between zones and encourage conversation, while eliminating any sense under-utilised space.
This renovation has transformed the kitchen into a beautifully considered entertaining space. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, it adds a new layer of functionality, thoughtfully tailored to her lifestyle and appreciation for art & design.
THE SOUTH PROJECT | A refined ensuite transformation in the heart of Hampton.
The South reimagines a relatively new space that lacked both functionality and visual appeal. Completed for a young couple preparing for their next chapter together, this bathroom renovation was designed to deliver both everyday practicality and a sense of elevated luxury.
Working within the existing footprint, the layout was retained, allowing the focus to shift toward a complete aesthetic and functional overhaul. The client and I worked closely to create a palette of warm neutral tones which were carefully layered to bring depth and softness to the space, with the natural travertine mosaic feature tiles designed to introduce texture. The custom-coloured Sussex tapware adds to the luxurious feel with the Robert Gordon basin in Rivergum being a perfect feature in this space adding a hint of colour.
Additional storage was a big must in this project so adding the beautiful 1200mm vanity and mirrored cabinet made a great difference to the space.

Team visit to the amazing @cdkstone thank you to Olivia for showing us around today - what an incredible range of stone! Spoilt for choice. Stay tuned to see some featured in our upcoming projects 🤩
A fun afternoon spent at @subzerowolfaust showroom in Melbourne CBD! A big thank you for the insightful tour. Exploring these incredible appliances in such a beautifully designed space was both educational and exciting.
Trying something a little bit different!! I’ve been obsessed with this wallpaper from Gucci (how can you not be) so thought I would put a little concept board together using it.
There is something very unintentionally 90’s about the overall feel which creates a very calming & homely environment, with warm tones and a pop of colour.

Can you tell I’m missing work just a little bit…. Although travelling Europe for the past 2 months has been the best way to expand my knowledge & style when it comes to interiors.
This is a little mock up concept board inspired by Italian interiors (more specifically in the North) - Travertine is everywhere as well as all things mosaic. This design is made up of an analogous colour palate mixed with different textures to create a luxe, calm environment.
More to come…..
