Frédéric Pellenq (@fredericpellenq ) is a Parisian based architect and designer, working primarily through the medium of wood based furniture design. His work explores the delicate balance of shape and material - incorporating contrasting elements from both simple minimalist shapes and dramatically oversized round forms from opulent French bourgeois furniture.
Many of you may also know Frédéric from his other project, Curation Technique (@curation.technique ), where he studies objects ‘which belong to a particular, specialized field of activity or knowledge’.

A beautiful weekend at The Standard London
Located centrally at Kings Cross, The Standard’s European flagship can’t be missed with the iconic red exterior elevator, and captivating brutalist design.
Originally designed in 1974 as the Camden Town Hall Annexe, it was later updated in 2019 by Orms and Crosstree Real Estate Partners, interior designers Shawn Hausman Design, and interior architects Archer Humphryes for The Standard’s first opening outside of the US.
With luxurious rooms, elegant ammenities, and amazing dining options, The Standard London was the perfect hotel for my recent stay.
