What will plan review look like in 3-5 years? Less and less review cycles; how many times the permit has to go back and forth between the applicant and the reviewer. AI is going to be more accepted into the process. You have to get the buy-in from the plan reviewers. They're the ultimate users. They have to understand they're not being replaced. It's making them more efficient. At the end of the day they can do their job quicker and go home at a reasonable time. A reduction in the permitting cycle leads to happier applicants and happier plan reviewers. It directly attacks the housing shortage. The permitting cycle is one of the biggest drivers of the housing shortage.

AI shouldn’t replace expertise. It should protect it. The repetitive checks, the pattern spotting, the busy tasks that drain reviewers— that’s where AI steps in. → faster checks → cleaner decisions → more room for real judgment You stay in control. Living with someone who takes care of themselves… changed my life. My roommate Desi will casually do a face mask, cook dinner, light a candle, go to bed on time — and suddenly I’m like: “Oh. I also deserve a bath. I also need groceries. I also should moisturize.” No one taught me this, but apparently that’s called co-regulation. Sometimes I don’t know I’m depleted. I don’t realize I need rest. I don’t clock that I’m spiraling. But being around someone who gently models care? It cues my nervous system. ADHD can make self-maintenance feel invisible until it’s urgent. Sometimes we don’t need discipline. We need proximity to someone regulated. And yes… this is why two ADHD people dating can feel like: “Who’s driving the ship?” 😭 This is the moment we realized it's a shared brain cell situation. This Saturday, March 7th, The Company has its World Premiere. And that’s thanks to Co-Creator, Director, and unbelievably sweet friend David Cyr Kerns. David and I met doing improv together in college, and it was love at first “scene where he pretends to be the Pope ordering too much meat at Subway.” David and I made a blood pact in those days — whoever makes it in Hollywood first, we’re dragging the other one up by their hair. I have way less hair than I did back then, but David dragged me up anyway. He called me up and said, okay, let’s make a movie. And so we wrote one and we made it. Now, we get to share it. The blood pact has been fulfilled. Thank you, David. Welcome to Subway. We’re out of meat. And you’re the Pope.
