Been trying to post this one since last year but the words just won’t come gang. After a decade of doing a thing you never saw coming it’s time to say aloha. I think ole Dave summed it up best, the dopamine hits just can’t outweigh the realities anymore. I keep coming back to this photo @vanagonlife took so long ago and know that my favorite shot is a direct reflection of our favorite times sitting around fires in the Outback with a couple handfuls of friends who’d become family. Thank you all for celebrating being human with us, I hope to God you’ve all found the people at your small fire that we have through this wild ride. Massive thanks to the Molloy family for trusting us with your family farm to host our last gathering. My absolute favorite Descend was 2020 when the government told us we couldn’t gather so we did anyway. Perhaps that’s a good way to wrap this up, please feel free to send me back to being the last human on earth without email or social media by leaving your favorite memory in the comments for the bots. I got to take my son to one of my favorite Vanlife gatherings - Descend on Bend!
This year Descend was in a new location. And I was super loving the new vibe! We had such a great time!
We were blessed with one of the most epic sunsets I’ve ever seen. And I took Tyler up to the roof of a van to howl at the sunset in true Vanlife fashion!
The weekend capped off with an 80s dance party. My son got totally into it with the glam rocker vibe, complete with a full face of makeup!
And we danced the night away to @driftalongdjaaron ‘s last nomadic show! We’re sooo gonna miss you Aaron!! (The end of an era! 🥲) Thank you for making all of our get togethers rock these past few years! I’m going to miss seeing your amazing always happy smile in camp!
I think I almost have my son convinced to give up houselife and buy a van. Almost. Haha

Motorcycle Monday! First shake down run in the Econoline since finishing the front end, suspension and interior flooring. Headed to the farm to pick up my TL250 and some riding to end the weekend.

What an incredible experience it was at @descendonbend
I had an amazing time meeting so many wonderful humans and checking out all the incredible rigs - from cars to school busses. The adventure was real, the vibes were real, the community is real.

Descend. Pack your SUP, canoes, tubes, speedos, floaties and come get wet with us next weekend! We also highly recommend tent camping in the shade and bringing camp commuters. Bicycles, motorbikes, off road skate boards, whatever.. See you out here!
