ODPODCAST069 – @derode__ Derode grew up surrounded by music, influenced early on by his father. Originally from northern France, he discovered electronic music at a young age and began DJing in 2019, later moving into production to shape a sound of his own. His style sits between the raw spirit of 90s techno and a more contemporary edge. Often mixing on three or four decks, he builds tight, groove-focused sets that reflect both precision and feeling. An upcoming EP on Transition is set for release at the end of March. This set was recorded at home, imagined as a peak-time slot. It starts strong and stays driving, with brief melodic and dreamy moments along the way. He shapes the flow through a question-and-answer dynamic between tracks, layering them to create a strong and continuous groove.

2025 has been such a fun ride! After five years of experimenting, I’m finally starting to feel comfortable with my music. Been working a lot lately and I’m really excited about what’s coming this year. More sets, gigs, and even label releases!
