@bjork is always pushing fashion to ridiculous new heights, and this week she’s continuing her run of insane looks at the Venice Biennale.
After DJing in a fibreglass Bottega Veneta gown while wearing a giant headpiece by CSM alum Myah Hasbany, the musician has selected another recent grad to propel to stardom – Polimoda’s @derinkmr .
Björk said goodbye to Venice in a full look from the designer (plus headgear by @vaquera.nyc ), so we caught up with Kemer to chat about the unexpected co-sign.

Raised by a single mother navigating a male-dominated world, @derinkmr final collection for @polimodafirenze pays tribute to the quiet strength of women who lead by example.
Derin reimagines power dressing through sculptural silhouettes and assertive details. Oversized shoulders, exaggerated hips, and masculine-coded materials such as wool, cotton, and walnut wood are softened by a neutral palette drawn directly from her mother’s wardrobe.
These garments are not designed to carry a woman—they are meant to be carried by her presence.
Derin’s vision is unmistakable: fashion as strength, memory, and transformation.
