Nick Polifroni aka @remedy667isdead and I spent nearly a year working on this - the first official @alkaline_trio font based on the lettering from artist @heather_hannoura 's classic designs.
In light of Derek’s decision to step down as a member of the band, we’d like to send our love and thanks for everything he contributed. It’s impossible to put into words all he’s done, but we are endlessly proud of what we have accomplished with one another. Beyond the music, we appreciate all our memories – the tours, travelling the world, spending weeks making music in the studio…everything. As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to an end, I feel the need to mention publicly for the first time that I am one of the millions of people living with bipolar disorder. In recent years it has taken a more aggressive form, which is called ultradian cycling bipolar. It has turned my life upside down, and I struggle with it everyday. I am slowly learning to manage it, and if it weren’t for my family and friends, therapists and doctors - I’m not sure I would be here today. I don’t want to feel ashamed or embarrassed any longer. Trying to hide it or pretend it doesn’t exist has been a hurtful, exhausting process. I’m not alone, and neither are you. Thanks. #bipolar #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthawarenessmonth
