Huhu ihr da Draußen, ich war eine Weile unterwegs, habe mir eine ordentliche Portion Inspiration geholt – und bin jetzt wieder richtig motiviert. In den letzten Jahren hat mich die Underground-Techno-Szene ehrlich gesagt immer mehr gelangweilt. Und ich bin damit nicht allein – die Feedbacks von vielen aus der Szene sind ähnlich . Festivals fühlen sich für mich oft nur noch wie Wiederholungen an. Kaum echte Neuentdeckungen – und genau dafür bin ich früher eigentlich dort hingegangen. Auch im Club passiert es nur noch selten, dass mich ein Set wirklich umhaut. Ich nehme mich da selbst nicht raus: Auch meine eigenen Sets fühlen sich nicht mehr so besonders an. Irgendwie fehlt mir dieser kreative Input. Aber nur rumjammern bringt nichts. Also habe ich mir gedacht: Mach es anders. Mach es selbst. Deshalb bin ich ab jetzt – ohne Ausreden und ohne Prokrastination – Mitveranstalterin der Groove Rebels. Für mich ist das genau der Raum, der bisher gefehlt hat. Groove Rebels steht für: • neue, auch unbekannte Talente – gerne roh, gerne edgy, ohne den Druck von tausenden Followern • Musik, die wieder Geschichten erzählt und zum Tanzen einlädt • Neugier statt Schubladen – Genres dürfen ineinanderfließen • eine diverse Crowd, die zusammenkommt, statt sich abzugrenzen • den ursprünglichen Spirit von Techno: offen, verbindend und ein Stück weit rebellisch Denn elektronische Musik kommt aus der schwarzen, queeren Community – und Grenzen sollten da eigentlich längst keine Rolle mehr spielen. Ich habe Lust auf frischen Wind. Auf Neues. Auf Risiko. @grooverebels_hamburg ist für mich genau das. Stay tuned – and make love, not war.
