Cheap Wigs spent all of Sunday in the studio working on our upcoming album. Got the basic tracks down, vocals are next, and then on to mixing. It was a new experience for the kids in learning the doldrums of studio life. Piano not included. Playing a wicked show this Saturday @thebeat.sd with @killer.trees@hyptocracy and @notahorsesux
We, Cheap Wigs, are playing an amazing student showcase with other young bands. You'll get to sample 8 bands in two hours (10-minute sets) - check out the future of San Diego underground music. We will also be playing with one of our faves @killer.trees May 9th - more info TBA. Hope to see you there. @ch3apwigs_band photo by @chrisshary
Here's my unsolicited Gen X two cents on the whole Trump as the Jesus doctor folly re: The book of Daniel and the horned figure in the sky. Relax and try to put your conspiracy theories aside for a moment, AI simply wanted to remind us that Los Angeles once had a thriving "UK 82" wannabe scene, and the standout from that pack was Killroy - in my humble opinion. No, folks, that isn't a three-horned figure of the apocalypse hovering above; it's a subtle message that you need to drop what you're doing, mix up a batch of Knox gelatin, and erect those liberty spikes! While you're doing that, dust off your Killroy records and give em' a good spin...
Went to work on the piso in Spain....with my former college art history prof, Patrick, who really dug into the medieval side of things along with Roman column caps. He had a tight agenda of churches, cathedrals, monasteries, and grapes. @bertqphoto and Turu stop by for a visit as well. It was nice To catch up and play host. All work and play.
