The thought process - 50 years of Punk. Well, that means it’s Punk’s 50th birthday…birthday candles…mohicans…the end. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) Photo & Model - Mark Denton Esq. Aided and abetted (in no small part) by @saskia_laroque
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUNK! It’s punk’s 50th Birthday. They’re still anarchists. Anarchists like blowing things up…it was a no brainer really. Cake by Mr Kipling’s arch nemesis @saskia_laroque Rothstein-Longaretti
A lot has changed in the last 50 years, we’ve got a new monarch with bigger ears for a start…Punk-wise that would require a bigger safety pin obvs…(just in case you’re interested in a limited edition print they’re available @camdenoag )
Punks used to spit at gigs, Punk is 50 years old. Maybe some original punks have got false gnashers now. That’s the deep thinking that goes into all of my work. The end.
Agency - Mark Denton Design, Client - The Creative Circle, ECD - Mark Denton, Concept/Copy - Clive Pickering & Andre Moreira, Photography- Oli Carver, Design - Mark Denton…Big story, the Creative Circle story (which I’ll tell in detail at a later date…SPOILER ALERT - it’s MASSIVE!). Part of my plan for its relaunch was a big trade-press campaign. This was the ad that ran in Campaign promoting the ‘Best of British’ themed Awards Bash…
Agency - Mark Denton Design, Client Therapy Films, ECD - Mark Denton, Art Director/Copy - Mark Denton, Typographer- Andy Dymock. Illustration - CF Payne… Another trade-press advert. I liked doing them and (as in this case) I didn’t mind putting my hand in my pocket and paying for them either!
Agency - Simons Palmer DENTON Clemmow & Johnson, Client - News of the World, ECDs - Mark Denton/Chris Palmer, Creatives - apparently Dave Dye was the Art Director on this one. Copy??? (I’ve got a research team on it - soz)…actually a dps Trade advert that ran in campaign ’sideways’…it’s the only job we did for the News of the World…shame.
Agency - Simons Palmer DENTON Clemmow & Johnson, Client - Crown FM, ECDs - Mark Denton/Chris Palmer, Creatives - rebooting memory banks…normal service will be resumed as soon as possible…
