I’m excited to share that a film I shot was released to Amazon Prime this week. It’s called Velvicide and was written and directed by my talented friend Kenneth Perkins. This is his feature directorial debut. We punched above our weight class with the caliber of talent in the cast and crew on this one, and I think it shows when you watch the film. #indiefilm #indiefilmmaking #directorofphotography
At long last the release date of Soul Power: The Legend of the American Basketball Association is set for February 12th on Amazon! Between the crew, locations, and quality we worked towards with every shoot, this is one of my favorite projects that I’ve worked on, and I am thrilled to share it with all of you. It’s a four part documentary series, with each episode running about an hour. If you’re a documentary fan, or love basketball or sports history, be sure to add it to your watchlist! #americanbasketballassociation, #nba #juliuserving, #directorofphotography, #ilovemyjob
Your audience doesn't need more content. They need content that hits different.
For a creative leader like you, the last thing you want in today’s culture is a generic campaign.
We've all seen content that's just a little bit off—it's generic, it's boring, and it doesn't connect.
We believe great content has to be culturally smart and honest. That’s EXACTLY what we do.
Already making content but not sure if it’s working?
Or, are you trying to find a way to make content that feels more REAL?

This is quite a bit late, but I started the year off shooting a documentary in Asia, specifically Cambodia and then India. It was an experience I’ll never forget, and a project I am immensely proud to have been involved with. I haven’t finished the daunting task of sorting through the 1,700+ photos I took on the trip, but I’ll post some to share the memories! #latergram #directorofphotography #documentary #travel #ilovemyjob
This is about a week behind - I’m a huge college football fan, and while I’m not usually an LSU fan, it was fantastic listening to Joe Burrow recount the behind the scenes of the 2019 Tiger’s championship season for an upcoming show for the SEC Network. It was a quick trip to Cincinnati, but it was a fun interview to shoot and light setting the background lights to the correct LSU purple and gold, and making sure the key light on Joe keeps him as handsome as possible. #ilovemyjjob #directorofphotography #lsutigers #latergram
My May was spent shooting a feature called The Observance, but with our hectic shoot schedule, I only snapped about ten photos on set the entire month. Though I am happy to say we continued our tradition of mustache day and others snapped many photos in all their glorious awfulness. A proud highlight from the shoot that was we lit a dam for the background of a scene. We had three 12k hmis to light about 1,000 feet or so of the dam. And I got to do an underwater shot and put all of my dive training to good use. #ilovemyjob #directorofphotography #indiefilmmaking
This is a bit late, but last week I found myself working at the Iron Bowl in Auburn, AL. The project centered on Aurea, the eagle that flies before the Auburn home games. What a cool experience and a fun night! #latergram #ilovemyjob
The new year is starting off with a bang as I’m shooting a horror film called Mr. Sleep…not to be confused with Dr. Sleep, quoting the great Mitch Hedberg “dude didn’t even get his degree.” #indiefilm #production #directorofphotography #horrorfilm #ilovemyjob
It was quite a busy week in Indianapolis working on the ABA documentary series. We got fantastic content, and got to shoot in some great places. #directorofphotography #ilovemyjob #docuseries #aputure #travel
What a great week in one of my favorite cities! We had later call times every day, so I got to soak up some of the city life, and mark off a “to-do” on my list of things to do in New York City: walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It also worked out that I got to make a stop at B&H. #travel #ilovemyjob #directorofphotography #newyorkcity
Some stills I like from shoots within the last few weeks. The documentary series has been fun, but it’s nice to shoot some narrative stuff again! #directorofphotography #independentfilm #ilovemyjob
