Came for our film
@taga.film ās premiere, stayed for the people š«¶š½
Huge thank yous to our Taga leaders
@jillsachs ,
@joyceliucountryman , and
@louielouie16 for making this such a memorable Sundance. Staying up late for a midnight screening was effortless thanks to fun hangs with you and
@joeyscoma ,
@kimadis ,
@lisajstarrett ,
@bustamantecasting , and
@tara_hotchkis !
I also had the opportunity to talk more about the music for our film at the
@behindthecamerahouse panel that highlighted below the line talent from remarkable films at the festival. Thank you to
@impact24pr for putting it together and for your endless support. While we talked about our individual crafts, what stood out to me in our conversations was that our identities and diverse backgrounds add so much more color into the stories that we tell and it is something that we must continue to be proud of and infuse into our work. ALSO learned that there is such a thing as a pickpocket consultant?!
While I find myself often quickly drained from attending big parties, for some reason the ones that
@cinema_sala throws always energizes me. The Sundance Sala brunch was no exception to that. Maybe it was the Filipino breakfast food, but Iām pretty sure itās the community. Thanks to
@mslizj for the beautiful portraits, and to
@marie_jamora ,
@lifeofcyn ,
@mallorieoh , and
@louielouie16 for organizing and preparing the feast!
In a sea of creatives, it was really special that
@ascapscreen and
@theawfc made sure to highlight the composers at the festival. Your support and encouragement keeps us going and is truly appreciated.
To top it all off, I had a 3-hour wait with
@mallorieoh at the airport due to flight delays and it was the most fun Iāve had waiting for a flight. Thank you for the company (and again the food), Mal! Loved being delirious and tired with you!
