𝚂𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚘𝚛 𝟷𝟷 𝙵𝚒𝚕𝚎: 𝙽𝚎𝚠𝚕𝚢 𝙴𝚕𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚜 With such a promising opportunity, we couldn’t help but dig a little deeper. Turns out, the fresh air community project was approved only a few months ago by the new government. Thankfully, the team spearheading the project seems to have had a lot of previous experience in this line of work. 𝙰𝚝 𝙾𝚞𝚛 𝙵𝚎𝚎𝚝 Although the rain is still pummeling our windows, we were finally able to find the community posting! Although it looks a little different from what we remember. Back once more at La Chapelle for the 2026 Montreal Fringe Festival, Dense & Stage is proud to present the world premiere of At Our Feet by Elly Pond! 10 years after the environmental crisis breached its tipping point, life on earth has reached a strange calm: the lands are poisoned, the air is toxic, but war has ended. For roommates Ari, Mouse, Tyra and Fern, their jobs in Sector 11 are showing promise. 𝙰 𝙵𝚕𝚘𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙶𝚞𝚒𝚍𝚎 After a night’s rest, it seems we’ll need to hunker down for a while longer; the rain outside has been incessant and the fields themselves seem to be having some trouble draining all the water. In the meantime, we’ve been trying to find the community posting again but we keep getting a system error pop-up instead. 𝙰 𝙿𝚛𝚘𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢 Since landing at our newest rest stop, we’ve been able to hunker down for a moment and start planning for our next journey. However, we keep receiving this advertisement for a nearby community that promises “ a clean and safe environment with good housing”. We’re decently comfortable where we are, but something about it feels promising. An astute guide, their glowing file holds maps to glowing fields of dandelions and sunflowers that we can hardly stop ourselves from exploring. 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 With the amount of work needed to put on a production, our first artistic associate Elly Pond is quick to support our collective. A vibrant artist, her folder radiates with the sweet smell of petrichor and the earth’s invisible liveliness. 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 If you’ve seen and/or heard about our projects, then that might just be because of our little birdie; our communications manager and publicist Corbeau Sandoval. The most miraculous thing is her seemingly maze-like folder that keeps dividing itself into various titles including performer, writer, producer, and more. We wouldn’t admit that we may have gotten lost in those folders, but we might need to ask her to plant some seeds to better navigate their maze. Curious to know what the vines are connecting to? 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 The right hand to our artistic director, we can’t pass on the driving force of our artistic producer Ian McCormack. The prolific writer and producer of Cornflake and PUTT, their folder is packed full of colourful papers riddled with stories. We’re pretty sure we lost a few pages when we last opened their folder, but luckily a raspberry bush offered us a helping hand in keeping things together. 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 Having put on a few projects since our start, we’re beyond ecstatic to have Abi Sanie as our collective’s champion art director. Having already worked as a director for three of our projects, their folder shimmers with harp songs and the fresh scent of mint, clear signs of their prolific skills in various positions.
