To me being black is a symbol. A symbol of perseverance, struggle hardship and the desperate desire to be seen, and understood. - We were given only a month to celebrate our forefathers and their achievements however do not allow this to distract you from the truth. Our history is not just “black history” it is history. It should not isolated to a singular month of celebration. It is something to be celebrated every month. - As we progress throughout life labels are continuously placed on us in order to promote differences between one another, for example, skin color. Utilized way back when to promote segregation and separation. The best way to control an empire is to divide and conquer. However, humanity will only progresses when we are working together in unison. Do not blind yourself to the truth of the world. - “We need more light about each other.
