Our foster boy, Joey, loves baths.😊
Let’s please find him his fur-ever home🥹
He has come a long wayyy from being a puppy on the streets of Guadalupe to being a parvo survivor and now a lone dog in a 13-cat household (ours - yes, 13 cats). We’ve been fostering him for almost two months now but we would really prefer him to have the proper attention a dog deserves. He’s a sweet energetic boii with so much joy and personality.🥹 Hoping that you let him steal your heart and let him into your home.😊❤️ msg me!
We don’t typically do valentine’s dates, but we spent it this year saying farewell to our first cat together: Mr. Scatty Yorkie 🤍
He holds a very special place in our hearts as he was our first one we adopted as a couple. Deng had eight cats prior, I moved into her home with two, but in March of 2020 (right before the lockdown!), we got a message that a senior persian needed rehoming as the previous owner, an older lady, had to give him up for medical reasons not specified.
We knew his previous owner was heartbroken losing him though, and we eventually became good friends with her. She sent food and gifts not just to her former cat, but to us too—on birthdays, on Christmas, and just because. We messaged often, she told us stories of kitten Scatty, and sent photos of him before his “retirement” era with us.
She told us that our cat, who used to be her cat, actually originally was her late husband’s cat. He was a jazz musician, thus the name Scatty. She was a favorite auntie to us.
Last year, she suddenly passed away. It turns out the medical reason was a terminal illness, and she kept it private as she just wanted to live the rest of her life normally without being treated differently because of it. I just know when Scatty crossed the rainbow bridge, she and her husband have been waiting for him on the other side.
I’m so grateful to them for gifting us with our cat’s existence. And so grateful to you Scatty, for spending your sunset years with us.
You made us a family 🤍
We said goodbye to cat haus’ one and only canine today, Rigby 🤍
Rigby was gentle, sweet, and loyal, and while he knew he was outnumbered, he was a good boy who knew how to speak (bark?) up and break up the cats when they would fight. He loved to curl up in boxes, in corners, and he assimilated so well into our 12-cat clowder, he even developed a liking for cat treats! He was such a cat dog that we thought one day that he’d just start to purr 😂
We’re gonna miss his soft tufty chest, his relentless humping 😂, taking him on his most favorite activity (walks), and giving him one of his least fave (baths). Thank you for the joy, the unconditional love, the puppy dog eyes, the snuggles.
He lived a long full life of almost 14 years. We love you Rigby!
