On Wednesday this week the Delta Green Environmental Design Sustainability Team attended Futurebuild as part of UK Construction Week 2026. The event offered key insights into emerging trends, the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard, smarter building solutions, and the importance of collaboration across the industry. It was inspiring to see how innovation continues to drive more sustainable and efficient ways of building for the future.
Retrofit was also a key focus throughout the event, with important conversations and seminars around decarbonising existing buildings, improving energy efficiency, reducing embodied carbon, and case studies of inspiring projects in London.
Thank you to the organisers, speakers, and everyone we got to meet and learn from throughout the event. We are looking forward to applying some of these ideas on our current and future projects!
Thanks to Richard Soan & Richard Soan Roofing Services for the kind invitation, and huge congratulations on a fantastic party to celebrate the new office.
Welcome to Glynde Estates. A lovely way to kick off the long weekend!
When is a cinema not a cinema?
First site meeting on a new London fit‑out project this week.
Great to be finally on site with the team, walking the space and aligning on the client and design teams vision. Completion is planned for the back end of the summer, but it’s always valuable to check in at this stage and see progress taking shape from the ground down (in this case).
Looking forward to watching this one develop - check back in to see the progress.
Earlier today Izzy Boreham and Inge Oosthuizen attended the South East Women in Construction Lunch as part of South East Construction Expo & Awards at the American Express Community Stadium.
The event brought together an inspiring group of professionals from across the industry, all committed to driving greater inclusion and opportunity within construction. It was great to share experiences, build new connections, and highlight the importance of supporting women at every stage of their careers.
Thank you to the organisers and everyone who took the time to connect and contribute. We’re looking forward to continuing to support initiatives that help shape a more inclusive construction sector.
Earlier this week, Delta Green Environmental Design visited the Hemiko Worthing Heat Network which was organised by Constructing Excellence Sussex Club - it was a really valuable opportunity to see a large‑scale, operational low‑carbon energy system in action.
It was interesting to understand how the network has been designed for long‑term resilience and future growth, and how heat networks can play a meaningful role in decarbonising towns and cities whilst providing reliable energy to new and existing developments. It was also great to see how Hemiko has been supported by Worthing Borough Council and has been engaging with the local community.
The visit was especially relevant as one of our projects, Union Gardens with Roffey Homes, will be connecting into the Worthing Heat Network. Seeing the infrastructure first‑hand and engaging with the team reinforced the practical benefits of connecting to established networks and the role they can play in delivering low-carbon energy pathways.
A great site visit and an encouraging example of collaborative, forward‑looking energy solutions in practice.
Congratulations to G4C in Sussex and #womeninconstructionsussex for the excellent 'Sustainability in Construction: Dream vs Reality' discussion.
Kemi Owoeye, Megan Smith, Toine Hodgkiss, Lisa Hocking, Ben Coombs & Rosie Barnes were a fantastic panel joined by our amazing Sophie Rowson.
The team from Delta Green Environmental Design had a great evening. Thank you.
We're proud to have partnered with @stwilfridshospice in Bosham several years ago when their new site was constructed, and we're pleased we can continue to support them with ongoing projects!👏🏼
As the hospice moves to increase their sustainability, we recently assisted them in the provision of solar PV to their existing buildings. ☀️🏥
It's rewarding to continue our relationship and support such an important cause🎗️
Together, we're making strides toward a more sustainable future for the hospice, and the community they serve! 🌳☁️

Delta Green attended the recent ‘Putt for Pilgrims’ networking event from @pilgrimshospices , at @canterburygolfclubkent . A wonderful morning of networking with a golfing twist! ⛳
Represented by our Senior Electrical Engineer, Dale Fisher, who said “this was such a wonderful cause and event to be a part of”.
The weather was glorious, and the putting green made for some healthy and fun competition amongst the attendees. Congratulations and thank you to those involved in setting up, hosting, and running the event, especially to Leila Ilkhan for the invite.
Delta Green have worked with Pilgrims Hospice for a number of years, and we’re really pleased to continue supporting such a valued client.
