In 2025, as part of Metabolic Studio's Special Projects in Archiving, artist Corazon del Sol, Butler's daughter, began excavating the archive dedicated to Butler's life and work. Eugenia P. Butler played a formative and often overlooked role at the border between conceptual art, community art practice and experimentation. This incredible body of paintings, drawings, journals and ephemeral pieces are now on view at the Barn, the former home and practice office of renowned architect, A. Quincy Jones.
The archive will continue to be on view at The Barn Wednesdays and Thursdays through April 29, 2026.
