What is there to say? I left music for food. My partner and I bought the old restaurant in Inglis and over the past 8 months we’ve been renovating and dreaming about how we can make it work. Maybe I left one hurting industry for another, maybe we’re crazy. Either way. Join us to find out? Who knows maybe it will work out? Check out the new page @theshop_inglis for all things small town farm to table pizza and more. Come along and watch us learn and fail and learn and succeed, then likely fail again. We don’t have a clue what we’re doing but it’s an adventure and I get to do it all with my love @haylanj . What else can a guy like me want? Anyway I miss you all but summer is rich and these big valleys and lakes and prairies have more than enough. Come see us sometime. Hoping to be open by October. Need some luck to make that happen. Ouch. Just got smacked by yet another snow storm… Lots of folks cancelling their trips to see us… (bummer, man) So please feel our heartfelt invitation to make your way to the Shop tonight! Bahn Mi inspired pizza. Smoked pork belly dry rubbed then glazed with Hoisin, pickle carrot ribbons, pickled reds. Always @bothwellcheese mozza on our pizzas (we love it) topped with mint and cilantro and a sriracha lime sauce. Don’t be a hater till you try it. It’s equally bright and satisfying. This week’s pizza special. Available till the pork belly is gone!

Many thanks to the @winnipegfreepress for covering our little outfit. Reinvention wasn’t easy for us…. Here we are all the same, beaming with pride that we get to do this everyday. It’s a modest little spot but there’s magic here and we hope you come see us -let us make you a few drinks and cook you dinner sometime? Stay till the floors are mopped, till we pull out guitars and sing John Prine.

Pizza special this week! We call it the “Rosette” Rose sauce, Capicola, Kalamata olives, whipped feta and cream rosettes with a little drizzle of honey on top. It’s pretty damn good. So good it might be around next week too. I dare say it’s my favourite pizza yet!
