9 months of dieting and training for this day, I don’t think anything could of mentally prepared me for what I went through. My pack weighed about 47 pounds going to base camp a five hour trek gaining five thousand vertical feet in elevation on Friday, Saturday our attempt to summit was delayed by a passing storm that took over the summit making it to dangerous. We decided to summit at 1am Sunday with 27 pounds of essential gear to reach the summit. Out of the five climbers I only successfully summited Mt Rainier every kind of condition of snow was up there making it so difficult I truly don’t know how I pumped through 16 hours straight of using my body to its full potential. Im now laying in bed recovering already eager to start training for my next summit which will be dec 16 tackling a new monster I know now my strengths and my weaknesses. I wanna thank everyone at the climbing gym that helped me train, my trainer @seuss.la at @luckyathletes all this wouldn’t have been possible with out everyone challenging me everyday. Thank you. #mtrainier #mountaineers #mountaineering
