I had the joy of painting the wedding of B&R, and they were such a sweet couple to work with, as were their friends and family I met that day. I loved being able to witness and capture the their beautiful ceremony on canvas.
My job has given me the opportunity to witness and appreciate wedding ceremonies from so many different cultures. Even when I attend a religious or cultural ceremony I’ve seen before, there’s always something unique that makes it special to each couple.
Back in college, I was an anthropology major (shoutout @sunyoneonta !) with a strong interest in cultural anthropology specifically. While I didn’t continue down that career path, I love that I still get to learn something new with every wedding I’m a part of. 💛

Baseball season is back! Hand-painted jackets (and bags!) are always a favorite of mine to do, especially when clients give me full creative freedom. But it’s a bit extra special getting to do a design for a team I grew up cheering on.
Had so much fun bringing this little set to life for a tiny human to wear to root on her dad. Let’s go Mets!! 💙🧡

Last year, while visiting my sister and her new fiance, Michaela said “Paint something for our save-the-dates.” So I grabbed some scrap paper and right there on their couch, painted a few little illustrations for their postcard design.
A few months later came the text that it was time do their invitations. Getting to illustrate their wedding stationery, inspired by a place that meant so much to our family growing up, complete with easter eggs like the skeleton key, was incredibly special.
All hand-painted, scanned in, and finished off with Michaela’s Canva magic.
Cheers to an unforgettable 2025! I had the honor of painting for 37 wonderful couples this year. One more wedding tonight in Jersey to ring in the New Year, then it’s on to 2026!

D&H’s flower-filled ceremony, captured live on canvas. Their painting was completed and displayed for guests to see as they arrived to celebrate later that day at the reception.

A guest thought I pre-painted my backgrounds, but I always arrive with a blank canvas, often without even seeing photos of the venue beforehand. I start the background about an hour before the chosen moment and paint through the celebration. This painting was finished and handed off to the newlyweds by the end of the night!
