Oh hi! Little bio for the newcomers 🙃
I make pieces that can’t quite decide whether they want to be worn or displayed on the wall.
I’m a designer, art director, and ceramist, born in Buenos Aires and based in Brussels.
I’m drawn to ancient art, pre-Columbian imaginaries, and early devotional objects. I’m interested in artefacts, in how objects can carry history, identity, and affection. I’m influenced by radical domestic craft and non-Western philosophies that prioritize softness over force. I approach critique through lightness and color, exploring concepts of moderhood, family dynamics, and the politics of care.
Monumental statements are not my thing, I’m more prone to quiet whispers.
Thanks @tondeleirjosefien for the fab 📸 for @kunstwerkt / Atelier in Beeld 2026.
This is happening! I’m proud and happy to announce the launch of my new website. 🎉
I know, nobody gives a damn about urls anymore. But this one was a journey of self-reflection. The thing is that my portfolio has always been scattered around. My practice as a graphic designer was hanging out elsewhere than my ceramic alter-ego. Against all odds, -and ChatGPT recommendations on how to keep consistency so prospects know what to expect and will remind you-, I decided to unify what I do under one roof. And here’s the result. I’m all over the place, and that’s what you’ll remember :). We even came up with a Canvas view where you can go literally all over the place. Please, try it out.
I’m thrilled to have collaborated with the guru @kasjmierleela on design and development - thanks for your patience and dedication. Also a thanks note to @antonysamson for his commentaries, and to all the fellows with whom we shared discussions about consistency, portfolios, and the struggles of showing off.
Go on & proofread it :); if you find any bugs send me a heads-up. And also, please share!
Love
d,
Last Sunday it was Atelier in Beeld ✨
Very happy to have welcomed both familiar and new faces into the studio.
A big thanks to @kunstwerkt for the organization, and for selecting me as one of this year’s ambassadors, truly grateful and honored to be part of this edition. For those curious about the thoughts behind the work and the atelier, there is a nice interview that you can check on the link in bio.
The studio is quiet again, clean and tidy. A pile of technical drawings is ready for the next batch of pieces. Back into the chaos of making. 🌀

This Sunday at @dagvandekeramiek in Kortrijk ✨
I’ll be showing a selection of new works from Studies on Ritual Attire, an ongoing series of ceramic pieces that sit somewhere between being worn and being displayed.
They borrow from ancient forms of dressing and protection, and are conceived as small artefacts carrying gestures, memory, and a certain idea of care.
If you’re around, come by! 54 ceramicists, and a full day to wander.
📍 LandMarck, Hal K - Kortrijk.
🗓 Sunday 26 April, 10:00–18:00
🎟️ Entrance €7

#atelierinbeeld2026

Tall shelves filled with colourful ceramics and walls hung with tinkling jewellery: @dehermo 's studio is a living archive. ‘Themes such as memory, roots, identity and distance form the material I work with. My recent work – non-wearable jewellery – is rooted in my Latin American background and draws on ancient cultures, craft traditions and ceremonial attire.’
As an ambassador for Atelier in beeld, she will open the doors of her studio to the public on 3 May. And she is not the only one: at atelierinbeeld.be you can discover more than 1,700 other workspaces to visit.

Summer in Buenos Aires ☀️ Impressions from our visit to @museocampo
Cortaderas, ombúes, mariposas locales.
Playful works, critical works.
Going back and forth between living matter and handmade matter.
Carrying this balance into the year ahead.
Wishing a gentle start to 2026 💫
Works from @adrianaobustos , Stoppani & Legavre, Colectivo Doma, @francofasolijaz , @carola.zech

Joins. I spend more time than I should figuring out how parts of a piece can live together (beyond just adding a strap).
I like to use brass for the joins, and since my fire skills are limited to the kiln (not the torch, yet), the challenge is to find cold connection methods (non-soldering): rings, hook and hole, tabs, folds, mobile links, modular plates.
So many ways to explore this. Tempted to make a study out of it.

Gente en Argentina, ya sé, es fuera de temporada. Pero si esperan ansiosos al invierno, a tener en cuenta: estaré por ahí en Diciembre, así que los gastos de envíos son locales - o me invitan a tomar un café ;) Besitos!
