Introducing: a limited vessel collection by Mingayi Malanti + STUDIO KÁJA.
Mingayi Malanti’s path to becoming a maker began by chance. While working as a maintenance manager in Jeremy Rose’s studio building, he was welcomed for a cup of coffee and an invitation to explore clay, uncovering his natural talent for shaping raw materials into art. His story inspired our collaboration.
Hand‑crafted with every subtlety and fingerprint telling a story of human touch, the collection features eight unique designs, with only two pieces of each produced. Each vessel bears the subtle imperfections of handmade pottery - visible fingerprints, uneven rims, and layered grooves - celebrating the artisan’s touch and creating a tangible connection between maker and collector.
DM or email us for details and to secure yours before they go live online. With only two of each design, these vessels will find their homes quickly.

As I reflect in pictures on a year that is over.
I find myself drawn to the light
to the colours and
to the blurred moments.
No year would be complete without a good amount of blurry, smudgy moments.
But, I know
that there will always be light and
that there will always be colours.
What is life without those we hold dear? Those people that understand our strange, odd minds. Those that lead us through times of uncertainty with a gentle hand. Those people that will always be with us no matter the miles. Those people we love.

“Later I was in a field full of sunflowers.
I was feeling the heat of midsummer.
I was thinking of the sweet, electric drowse of creation,”

I’ve found myself living where I think I ought to be, instead of where I am. Lost in pursuit and tangled in the future. Every day deserves a moment of presence. So, I reflect on the past 15 months of moments, and their gifts.

There’s a salty breeze sailing over lapping water, sharing its cold energy with the rounded rocks. A vessel travelling over its depths in which black creatures play. Over islands and over canals lie large white caps, steady and sure.
Vanaand kuier ek saamet die vuur vlieg boude. Ladies of the night soos Jeff verduidelik. Ons dans en draai saamet die donder ritmes van die namiddag weer. Die aarde is nat. En die water is mooi.
