NSU is not a proposal for a building. It is a speculative framework that repositions architecture within a context of global instability and resource uncertainty. In a world where territory can no longer be secured, permanence becomes a constraint. Architecture must evolve into a system that moves, adapts, and negotiates its existence. The interior is conceived as a series of interconnected micro-environments supporting human activity, production, and research. Rather than isolating occupants, the system positions humans as active participants within an operational framework. Living, working, and exploration coexist within a continuous spatial field, where architecture becomes both habitat and instrument. The project operates as a continuous system structured around three processes: Habitation / Exploration / Extraction The hexapedal body enables displacement across unstable terrains, while integrated subsystems extend the architectural reach beyond the main structure. Deployed capsules function as autonomous extraction units, penetrating the ground, acquiring resources, and reintegrating into the host system. "Bleeding Colors" A series developed entirely in Photoshop as an exploration of color as atmosphere, distortion, and emotional residue. These compositions blur the boundary between architectural remnants, digital artifacts, and saturated gradients, allowing pigment to behave almost like fluid / leaking, dissolving, and staining the image field. Each frame is built through layered blends, masking, texture overlays, and chromatic interference, turning familiar urban and abstract forms into unstable visual conditions. Rather than describing space, the images compress it / flattening depth into noise, light, and color pressure. field matter _ f/m This sequence of images documents a parametric workflow developed for @lima.labs , as part of a paid tutorial series on Rhino, Grasshopper and Blender. The process begins with a cloud of points, each reacting to a set of attractor rectangles that influence their spatial behavior. These attractors act as fields of force, generating directional swirls and complex interconnections between the points. The resulting network is then meshed using Cocoon, transforming the abstract relationships into a tangible, volumetric body. Subsequent stages refine the mesh through smoothing algorithms, creating a soft continuity between layers of geometry. The form transitions from chaos to coherence a study in how data-driven morphology can evoke organic depth. aeroform shell _ a/f/s (rooted in “aer,” meaning air.) Developed in Rhino, the helmet’s geometry explores the intersection of airflow, structure, and form continuity. The outer shell was sculpted to optimize aerodynamic flow while maintaining an expressive geometric language that merges performance and identity. The inner membrane, created through Grasshopper, extends this logic into a parametric system _ a generative network simulating air passage and material porosity. This same structure becomes both the visual and conceptual backdrop of the project, blurring the boundary between object and environment. adaptive performance unit (LUME) _ a/p/u (rooted in “lumen,” meaning light.) The design process began in Rhino, where the primary geometry was modeled and refined to define the shoe’s proportion, silhouette, and structure. Once the overall form was established, Grasshopper was used to generate the patterned components _ allowing precise control over their scale, density, and spatial distribution across the surface. This parametric stage enabled local adjustments while maintaining continuity between the outer shell, sole geometry, and patterned transitions. Each iteration informed the next through real-time manipulation of pattern logic and curvature. The final assembly was then imported into Blender, where materials and lighting were developed under the Cycles engine. Emphasis was placed on communicating texture depth, reflectivity variation, and the performance_lifestyle duality embedded in the design language. The silhouette blends structural precision with soft transitions _ an engineered balance between speed and stability. Each component was modeled and refined in Rhino, with Grasshopper driving parametric surface logic and detailing. The final composition was rendered in Cycles, emphasizing contrast between matte and reflective finishes. MATERIAL SYSTEMS: / Upper shell: micro-textured elastomer mesh with dynamic tension response // Support panels: injection-molded polymer blend with tonal gradient coating /// Midsole: reactive foam compound / compression mapped for kinetic zones //// Outsole: dual-density rubber lattice with circular traction pattern \/ Lacing system: anodized eyelets / tensile cord integration This first part focuses on the evolution of form — how parametric tools inform ergonomics, and how performance logic can coexist with everyday aesthetics. “velo _ visual/aid” Designed as an exploration of continuity, velo reduces the headset to its essential gestures — a seamless flow of form, texture, and restraint. Each curve transitions into the next without interruption, shaping an object that feels carved from a single volume. Developed in Rhino, with Grasshopper driving the parametric texture of the front panel, the study focuses on how surface rhythm can merge structure and breathability.
