i think this year was my best year yet. last year i wrote a post on here about how it had been my hardest year. that meme about the guy digging for diamonds really was true for me. i think that life is much longer than we (esp we ambitious impatient creative people) often give it credit for. i’ve learned that if i feel stuck in a problem and none of my physical or mental resources lead to a solution, I can often just wait and the world and circumstances will change and a solution will manifest. if 2024 has taught me anything, it’s that I just simply cannot predict the future, no matter how informed I think I am - which is both scary and kind of relaxing. i used to waste sooooo much time fighting the natural course of life and ended up just more isolated and frustrated. i made many mistakes this year and also did many things that I’m extremely proud of, and I’m gonna keep doing both and that’s ok i think. going into 2025 i feel more connected to my community than ever, and i expect that to grow, fingers crossed. all of my close relationships seem to exist truly out of love, and i feel like i am loved for who i am naturally, which is the best feeling in the world. so grateful to everyone who helped me stick around to find out this future was waiting for me, and if you’re reading this i hope you’ll stick around for the future of now !! #alivegang
