Last night we upheld the vibe in Vancouver, coming up in one month’s time, we’re gonna rave it up deep in the underground in the East Bay. Come dance with us and makes some new friends.
TODAY: marks the death of the DEF Audio soundsystem. It has been sold off to a collective in Humboldt dedicated to bringing all walks of life together dancing in the forest. The crew is 100% stoked.
The system has been sitting dormant for 5 years or more in storage and had limited use. It was time to let it move on and inspire orthers once more.
It was used, at its prime to bring techno heads together when proper techno had no voice. There was no alternative other than to DIY or die. DEFSF threw many raves with it. Later it helped to ignite and inspire a younger generation to throw their own raves when the older crews thought they would blow up the map point. Then, in turn, they built their own sound systems . Bigger and better and way more amazing than the DEF Audio rig.
Since the beginning in 2000 DEF Audio was the core of what DEFSF is about. That core is no more. DEFSF has evolved. Where that is, it remains to be seen.
