Made a new anniversary shirt for @sibiirband 10 year show at @parkteatret . Built around their first EP cover from 2016 — an upside down photo from Vår Frelsers Gravlund. Tried to keep that same unsettling atmosphere while pushing it further into something more fragmented and decayed. If you try, you might see the suggestions of a skull in the composition. Did the image using inverted drawing with watered out ink and a bit of intentional splashing. Catch one at the show May 29.

I recently worked on a new batch of merch for @djervmusic , digging deeper into themes we’ve been exploring together. Both pieces come from the same core idea, just pushed in different directions. I wanted to make something detailed, but still rough and raw. Took some trial and error, but it landed. Pretty happy with where it ended up. Also good to bring some color into it. Grab one if you catch them live.

Had the privilege to shape this year’s visual identity for @oslomedievalfestival . Last year leaned into humor. This time I went the other way. The theme is “Ætt” — kin, lineage, what binds us across time. Built around a Yggdrasil-inspired tree. Roots, branches, and small marks of life carried through it. Kept the drawing rough and direct. No polish for the sake of it. Simple and reminiscent of wood print.

@pilogbueband celebrate hard today. Their new record, level 5 “You Have Chosen Darkness” is out today. As any P&B release, I was granted a lot of freedom in creating the visual concept. Based on the songs, lyrics and visual history I pretty quickly got the idea of a kind of existential game show. Humankind had a choice. Five doors. (Level 5). And we have chosen darkness. It slithers out the door and getting ready to take over. I wanted a feeling of oil and slime, grime, dirt. As the previous P&B artwork, I went all in with the (digital) pencil. Reusing the textures and the marbling that I used way back on the 2016 Forget about the past, let’s worry about the future -release. Clearly adjusted and worked on to fit the current mood. We also wanted to have a lighter cover, since all the others have been quite dark. Also to contrast the title. Pretty happy with the end result. Out on @digerdistro

It’s finally out. @danakilsafari ‘s new album “From the Soil” is out now! It was such a fun project to be a part of. From the first mail and listen, it was clear that this needed to be a bit different. The hypnotic drums and the psychedelic horns felt like they sucked you in, like a black hole, but more creating and more colors. I decided that the music was transformative and could impact the listener. That’s where the holes in reality came in. A huge hole that transformed the landscape and warping reality. The making-everything-slime-and-suck-it-in idea was born. First starting with smaller everyday objects and expanding bigger and bigger. That’s why the singles featured a morning breakfast table and the typical oslo window. Culminating the whole landscape for the album cover. It was fun to draw with a semi minimalist approach. Letting shapes and shades and color do the work. The typography on the back needed to reflect the front and also go in a spiraling motion. Overall a super fun project and a super band to work with. New single “222” from @pilogbueband upcoming album “You Have Chosen Darkness” out now. Going a bit classic on the image here with a suit-clad overtaken slime -thing. As always, trying to make the singles build up towards the albumcover and highlighting the idea more than just making something cool. If it checks both boxes, great. :) out on @digerdistro

New single from @danakilsafari where the rainbow singularity takes over even more. Oslo Black Widow continues the style and buildup from the first single taking it to the walls and windows (not widow ;) As always, so much fun to do something a bit different and playing with the overarching idea. Another year over. Lots of big changes. Moved from Oslo, got a house and new studio in Bærum. Less time for work due to missing kindergarten space. Big changes in everything made the start of the year pretty bleak. Things got hard, dark and sometimes pretty hopeless. Things started getting better slowly and all signs points to a better year ahead. Usually the top nine is measured in likes, this time I chose the ones with the most exposure. Thanks to all clients for their trust and patience. I know next year will be great. Special mentions to these featured in the post. @tonsofrock @amorphisband @maraldart @thecruelintentionsofficial @minioya @oslomedievalfestival @kaizersorchestraofficial @jimbergsted @sublimeeyesband @braakmakar

@braakmakar can’t let the opportunity to knock some life into the holidays. Odda Banker Jula Inn 2025 will be no exception. This year we went all out with the wolf and the audience. The wolf has always been a integral part of OBJI and now has a bigger role in the visual profile for Bråkmakar (more on that shortly). Watch out Odda, Bråkmakar is here.

For some reason I totally forgot to document the @braakmakar annual event Odda Banker Jula Inn 2024! Now you can see it just before unveiling the 2025 edition. Wanted to play with a looser line and letting stuff come to me in the quick sketching process.

Had the pleasure of making the visual profile for the new neighborhood sportsbar. @hjornet_pa_roa offers several screens of sports, better pub-food and a jovial setting. I wanted to make the place feel including and the same time, a bit more modern than the average sportspub. The H with the ball in the corner witch acts as the dot over the Å -came to me pretty quick. The simple illustrations and the more playful fonts together with a pretty rigid layout boxing system and a palette mainly with black and white makes room for all the colors, the people and the screens associated with a sportsbar. I also wanted the place to feel like a hangout. Making the menu act as a placemat, making the cleanup process easier, but also more than a menu with hidden quiz questions and note-taking spaces and puzzles etc. witch are switched out regularly. This means also that we had to have branded coloring pencils. The idea for this place is to have a venue to get better food and enjoy sports along with the whole family, or your local team.
