An exercise in honesty, pain, depth, emotion, unpredictability, minimalism and solitude. Tricky’s show in Vicar St left a deep mark. Many were visibly flabbergasted, frustrated and some were even viscerally angered, triggered by it. It was a bird’s even view of the void, suffering, death. This wasn’t entertainment in a nominal sense. This was an artist putting his agony and inner turmoil on display. I just closed my eyes and fell in. In my top 3 shows of all time. Delicious.
