exactly a year ago, i stepped into this city and felt completely invincible. chasing my dreams has taught me that growth isn’t always a bright, easy path; sometimes the process of becoming who you’re meant to be dims your light for a moment. i’ve lost, i’ve gained, i’ve relearned, i’ve understood… i’ve learned to cherish every step of my stepping stones, and i’m so deeply grateful for every person who has become part of my new york story. i thank god every day that i get to experience this life, in this city, in this lifetime. for the first time, i’ve stopped constantly looking toward the future and learned how to just be.
being present has been the greatest blessing of all.
