Short testimony | I went on a 3 year hiatus from IG account and my career because I didn’t think I was good enough.
I didn’t think I was good enough as a photographer. I didn’t think I was capable of building a brand from scratch with no experience in the commercial industry. I didn’t think I was capable enough being an entrepreneur. I didn’t think I had what took to be ‘successful’ as a creative director with no experience. So, I left.
But God saw something different. He saw that I’m capable of winning. He saw that I’m capable building a brand, working as a creative director in the commercial industry with no experience in either fields. He saw that I’m capable of being successful.
I read Exodus 3 last night and I saw myself in Moses. I saw the doubtful questions, the self-criticism, and the lack of worth. I saw myself in Moses. (It’s funny how you can see yourself every time you read the Bible lol). But I also what God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am.” I understood him in that moment.
God doesn’t care if you don’t have experience or what background you come from. Your resume does not align with his resume. God already had his plan designed for you before you were a twinkle in your mother’s eye. Let him be the one to lead you through every lie that is set up against you. Let him be the one to lead you through your lowest of lows and your highest of highs. God is God and nothing else. Your battle(s) has been defeated.

And this is what it’s like when things don’t go your way 😂
The wind and I were battling it out all day. I didn’t have any clamp to hold the backdrop (don’t worry. It’s on its way ☺️) so my overhead camera stand had to hold it up.
Oh, ya though this was the first time the backdrop fell? Nah! This was its 5011th time. The wind was winning 😫
Being an a creative comes with a lot of challenges. Here is where I went back to my roots when I first started and created my backdrop from cards.
Creating this backdrop was all an trial and error experience. 😂 First, the wind not letting me win so it kept falling. Second, I ran out of glue. Not every part of the card was glued down properly so you already know Photoshop and I were fighting. 👊🏾😂
Honestly, it’s fun and challenging being an artist. ✨
You cannot have peace and comfort without love. Love is rooted in the Most High and peace and comfort is where you will find it in him. 💫

PW || One thing I would say about me is that I’m a sucka for lavender.
I decided to add two more lavender stems to the shot to play with the extra space. Which one is your favorite?

I’m in love with this candle. It has a clean smell and it’s not overpowering. Normally, I burn this candle during my prayer time.
Also, I’m stoked at how these images turned out. 🤗
✨Personal work✨
The wait is over. If you’ve seen my story, you know I was working on something that I’ve been planning for awhile. It feels good to be back in the studio with a camera in my hands and trusting God during the process to help with the creativity.
There’s more to come and I cannot wait to share the rest with you all. 🤗 Personal work is so important because they truly help with boosting your confidence and expanding your creativity whenever you feel stuck. Make time for some personal work and don’t be afraid to add the shoots to your portfolio. The more, the merrier. Enjoy creating ✨
