On the menu: 👨‍🎓 Beatmaking intro workshops (16+) to learn how to handle the tools — machines, sampling, rhythms, arrangement. 🔥 At the same time, a Top Chef–style competition: the Beat Cookin’ Challenge : Each beatmaker receives 3 mandatory ingredients: 🥘 one track to sample (same for everyone) 🎙️ one vocal 🔊 one sound effect / noise (sirens, broken glass, etc.) 👩‍🍳 Your mission: cook up a beat within the time limit. Sally Nourdi, beter bekend als DJ Defi J, is een van de pioniers van de Belgische hiphopscene. Al eind jaren ’80 stond hij mee aan de wieg van het eerste Franstalige rapproject in België met BRC (Brussels Rap Convention). Sindsdien bouwde hij een indrukwekkend parcours uit als DJ, producer en performer, met tal van samenwerkingen, internationale projecten en optredens, van Brussel tot New York, waar hij onder meer deel uitmaakte van het project "This Is Hip-Hop". Met zijn jarenlange ervaring en diepgewortelde passie voor de cultuur brengt hij een set die staat voor authenticiteit, skill en een geweldige mix van hiphop en funk. Hij zal ons laten kennismaken met hiphop zoals geen ander, hiphop/funk kenner in hart en nieren!
